Censor Board Guides ‘Teri Baaton Mein’ Adjustments

Shahid Kapoor, a prominent Indian actor known for his romantic roles, is set to captivate audiences in his upcoming film “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” alongside Kriti Sanon, who has made a mark with films like “Bhediya” and “Mimi.” Scheduled for a theatrical release on February 9, 2024, the romantic comedy explores the relationship between Shahid’s character, a robot scientist, and Sanon’s character, an exceptionally intelligent female robot.

However, before its release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) intervened, requesting edits to certain intimate scenes. The board also mandated a change from the word ‘Daru’ to ‘Drink’ in the second half of the film. The film’s runtime has consequently been reduced due to these edits.

Reportedly, the CBFC asked for approximately nine seconds to be trimmed from an intimate scene, shortening it from 36 seconds to 27 seconds. Additionally, the board directed the inclusion of an anti-smoking static message, ensuring its readability. Despite these adjustments, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” secured a U/A certificate and maintains a runtime of 143.15 minutes (2 hours, 23 minutes, and 15 seconds).

In this eagerly anticipated film, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon showcase their onscreen chemistry in a unique romantic comedy. Fans eagerly await the release as the duo navigates the challenges of portraying a robot scientist developing emotions for an intelligent female robot. As the countdown to February 9 begins, audiences are poised for a delightful cinematic experience.

Shahid Kapoor also has another project, “Deva,” directed by Rosshan Andrrews, in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon is set to enthrall audiences with her upcoming movies “The Crew” and “Do Patti.” With a slew of exciting projects on the horizon, both actors continue to leave an indelible mark on the Indian film industry.
