Did Ustaad Bhagat Singh Teaser Violate Election Rules?

Recently, Ustaad Bhagat Singh’s crew dropped a new sneak peek of their upcoming project, packing some political punches. Pawan Kalyan, a prominent figure, spoke about the power of a broken glass, which happens to be his party’s symbol. He revealed that he delivered this dialogue at the request of director Harish Shankar, with a specific purpose in mind.

When asked about the use of the glass symbol in the teaser, AP’s chief electoral officer, Shri Mukesh Kumar, mentioned he hadn’t seen it and couldn’t comment. However, he pointed out that if the glass symbol was being highlighted for publicity, it could be seen as a political advertisement. Such ads are allowed but need prior approval. Kumar added that if the teaser is considered a political ad, the team would be notified to seek pre-certification.

The timing of this teaser release adds an interesting twist, coming less than two months before the AP Assembly Elections. “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” is the official adaptation of the Tamil blockbuster “Theri.”
