Bade Miyan Chote Miyan: Bollywood’s Big Flop

Bollywood fans eagerly awaited the release of “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, as an Eid treat. Unfortunately, the film turned out to be a massive disappointment. Despite its massive budget of around Rs 350 crore, it failed to captivate audiences.

For Akshay Kumar, this marks yet another setback, with “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” being his 11th flop out of 14 movies released since the Covid pandemic began. The film’s box office performance was dismal, with only about Rs 2.25 crore collected nationwide on Monday and a meager total of Rs 40 crore over five days.

Even with ticket prices reduced to just Rs 127 in certain cinemas, the movie failed to attract viewers. Industry analysts predict that its lifetime earnings may not exceed Rs 60 crore, leaving distributors with a mere Rs 35 crore share.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F in key roles. It’s a significant letdown for a film that had such high hopes riding on it.
