Bollywood A-lister Ranbir Kapoor has begun filming for his highly anticipated role as Lord Rama in director Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. After months of pre-production, the cameras started rolling in Mumbai with leading lady Sai Pallavi by Kapoor’s side as Sita.
While details of the plot are under wraps, leaked pictures from the sets show Ranbir and Sai Pallavi looking resplendent in traditional attire. However, the leaks have also raised concerns about set security. Last month, a video of Ranbir Kapoor was leaked, and these recent pictures mark the second such incident. Yash, who co-produces the film alongside Namit Malhotra, portrays the antagonist Ravana. The Ramayana project boasts a hefty budget, with a significant portion dedicated to state-of-the-art VFX to create a visually stunning experience.
Slated for release in 2025, the first part of Ramayana promises to be a cinematic spectacle. Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly fully invested in the project, and the addition of Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman rounds out the impressive cast. This grand adaptation of the Indian epic is poised to be a major milestone in both Ranbir Kapoor’s career and Indian cinema.sharemore_vert
