Story:
“Bubblegum” is the latest addition to the 2023 film calendar, marking Roshan Kanakala’s debut as a hero. Directed by Ravikant Perepu, known for films like Kshanam and Krishna, and backed by People Media Factory, the movie brings together a star-studded cast. The narrative revolves around Adi, played by Roshan, a middle-class boy aspiring to become a DJ, and his love interest Jhanvi, portrayed by Manasa Chaudhary.

Despite a routine love story, the initial sequences successfully set the stage for Adi’s character, portrayed with charm and flair by Roshan. Roshan delivers a commendable performance as Adi, embodying the quintessential Hyderabadi boy. Manasa Chaudhary impresses with both her beauty and acting skills, while Chaitu Jonnalagadda shines in the role of the hero’s father, adding a significant charm to the second half.
Despite its attempt to cater to the younger audience, the film seems to lack a clear message, and the first half may feel drawn out. The director’s vision is somewhat unclear, but the film compensates with strong performances from the new actors. Sricharan’s songs may not be memorable, but the background music leaves an impression, complemented by Suresh’s competent cinematography.
