“The Goat Life,” also known as “Aadujeevitham” in Malayalam, is an upcoming survival drama film penned, directed, and co-produced by Blessy. The international collaboration involves Indian and U.S. production companies, featuring dialogues in Arabic and Malayalam.
Based on Benyamin’s 2008 novel inspired by true events, the film follows Prithviraj Sukumaran as Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant forced into slavery as a goatherd in Saudi Arabia. Blessy, deeply moved by the novel since 2008, fulfills his dream of adaptation. Producers Jimmy Jean-Louis and Steven Adams join Blessy in this endeavor.
A. R. Rahman enriches the film with his original score and songs, shot in immersive 3D, concluding filming on July 14, 2022. Scheduled for a global theatrical release on April 10, 2024, “Aadujeevitham” promises a poignant cinematic experience.
