Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s new movie, “Fighter,” had a solid start, raking in ₹22.00 crore on its first day in India. According to early estimates, the Hindi version had an overall 21.17% occupancy on Thursday.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, this is Deepika’s third collaboration with him after “Bachna Ae Haseeno” (2008) and the 2023 hit “Pathaan.” “Fighter” dives into the Balakot airstrike, paying tribute to the bravery of the Indian armed forces. Hrithik Roshan plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, Deepika Padukone as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, and Anil Kapoor as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh.

The film, a first-time pairing of Hrithik and Deepika, revolves around the Balakot airstrike responding to a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi also play vital roles in this patriotic tribute produced by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures.
