Boney Kapoor, the well-known Indian film producer, is embarking on an exciting venture to set up a film city in Uttar Pradesh. Born into a family deeply rooted in cinema, with brothers Anil and Sanjay Kapoor, Boney was first married to Mona Shourie, and together they have two children, Arjun and Anshula.
In 1996, Boney Kapoor found love again and married Indian actress Sridevi. Their family expanded with the arrival of two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi. However, the family faced a tragic loss in 2018 when Sridevi passed away in Dubai.
Undeterred by challenges, Boney Kapoor is now taking on a significant project in Uttar Pradesh, winning a competitive bid against industry giants like Akshay Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. The chosen location in Jewar covers an initial 230 acres, but approval from the Uttar Pradesh government is still pending. The project, close to Jewar Airport, is part of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision and spans a sprawling 1000 acres.
While stakeholders eagerly await the government’s approval, Boney Kapoor’s film city project aims to become a cornerstone in the region’s entertainment landscape, offering potential fines for construction delays as part of the deal. It’s a story of resilience and ambition in the world of Indian cinema.
