Rhea Chakraborty Seeks Legal Relief

Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has petitioned the Bombay High Court to suspend a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against her, citing professional commitments in Dubai. The LOC pertains to her involvement in a drugs case linked to the 2020 death of her then-boyfriend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Chakraborty’s lawyers argued that, despite an FIR by the CBI, she has not been summoned, and the case has seen no progress. The CBI, opposing relief, clarified that the FIR was filed in Patna, falling outside the court’s jurisdiction. The court will reconvene on December 20. Chakraborty previously spent 28 days in jail on drug-related charges.
