Ashika’s journey into the world of acting began with a stroke of luck. Director Mahesh Babu spotted her during a Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest, kickstarting her career in the film industry. Born on 5 August 1996 in Tumkur district to Ranganath and Sudha Ranganath, Ashika grew up in a Kannada-speaking household. Her sister, Anusha Ranganath, was already making waves in Kannada cinema, paving the way for Ashika’s entry.
Initially, Ashika took on supporting roles in several successful films. She shared the screen with renowned actors like Shivrajkumar in “Mass Leader” and Ganesh in “Mugulu Naga.” Her performances garnered both commercial success and critical acclaim, establishing her as a talent to watch out for in the industry. One of her notable roles was in “Raju Kannada Medium,” where her character was widely appreciated by audiences.
