Ashika’s journey into the world of acting began with a stroke of luck. Director Mahesh Babu spotted her during a Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest, kickstarting her career in the film industry. Born on 5 August 1996 in Tumkur district to Ranganath and Sudha Ranganath, Ashika grew up in a Kannada-speaking household. Her sister, Anusha Ranganath, was already making waves in Kannada cinema, paving the way for Ashika’s entry.
Initially, Ashika took on supporting roles in several successful films.
