Prime Video has revealed a new young adult series, “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” featuring a talented cast including Avantika Vandanapu, Aneet Padda, Dalai, Vidushi, Lhakyila, Afrah Sayed, and Akshita Sood. Pooja Bhatt joins as Anita Verma, the strict principal of Vandana Valley Boarding School. Bhatt expressed excitement about the series, praising its encouragement of embracing individuality and challenging stereotypes.Avantika, known for her role in “Mean Girls: The Musical,” debuts on OTT as Leah Joseph (Ludo), the school’s basketball champion with a hidden secret. Aneet Padda plays a rebellious young adult named Roohi, emphasizing the honest portrayal of growing up. Dalai, as Pluggy, reflects on her teenage years, celebrating the unique sisterhood formed during the show.
Vidushi portrays Kavya, a scholarship student navigating the challenges of fitting in while pursuing extraordinary dreams. Lhakyila (JC), Afrah Sayed (Noor), and Akshita Sood (Dia) share their experiences and growth through their characters, emphasizing the camaraderie among the girls.
