Dev Patel, the British actor renowned for his roles in “Skins” and “Slumdog Millionaire,” is stepping into a new role as a director with his debut film, “Monkey Man.” Patel, who rose to fame with Danny Boyle’s “Slumdog Millionaire,” is not only directing the film but is also portraying the lead character. The movie, described as a gripping and action-packed thriller, draws inspiration from the courage and strength embodied by Lord Hanuman.
The plot revolves around a man seeking vengeance for the murder of his mother, promising an intense and emotionally charged cinematic experience. Patel, in addition to directing, has penned the compelling story himself. Teaming up with Jordan Peele of ‘Get Out’ fame, Patel also co-produced the film. The ensemble cast includes Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Sikandar Kher, Sobhita Dhulipala, Makarand Deshpande, and others.
