Last night, the Oscars 2023 was like the ultimate movie party, and ‘Oppenheimer’ was the superhero of the night with seven big awards. Christopher Nolan, the genius behind the film, snagged Best Director, while ‘Oppenheimer’ itself took home the coveted Best Film title. Cillian Murphy, who played the main guy, got the Best Actor award, and our favorite ‘Ironman,’ Robert Downey Jr., scored Best Supporting Actor for his part in ‘Oppenheimer.’
Ludwig Goransson, the music maestro, won for the movie’s cool tunes, and ‘Oppenheimer’ also nailed it in Best Cinematography and Best Editing. Fun fact: it was Cillian Murphy’s first shot at an Oscar, and he nailed it! The ‘Peaky Blinders’ star sure knows how to make an entrance.
Billie Eilish’s heartfelt ‘What Was I Made For’ from ‘Barbie’ snagged Best Song, beating out the catchy ‘Naatu Naatu’ from ‘RRR.’ And kudos to Emma Stone, who totally rocked in ‘Poor Things’ and earned the Best Actress trophy.
Hosted by the hilarious Jimmy Kimmel, the night featured a killer performance by Ryan Gosling, who grooved to his hit ‘I’m Just Ken’ from ‘Barbie.’ The Oscars 2023 was all about celebrating the awesome folks who make our movie nights unforgettable.
