Chopra, along with her production company Purple Pebble Pictures, has taken the lead in creating this impactful film.
Directed by Ajitesh Sharma, “Women of My Billion” tells the deeply human story of Srishti Bakshi, a UN Women Champion of Change. Bakshi embarks on an awe-inspiring trek covering 3,800 km over 240 days, spanning the breadth of India. Along her journey, she connects with women from diverse backgrounds, listening to their stories and understanding their struggles.
The documentary also highlights the dedicated efforts of Pragya Prasun, who has devoted her life to supporting and rehabilitating women affected by various forms of violence. Through compelling storytelling, Chopra and her team aim to draw attention to the resilience and experiences of women across the nation.
