Gopichand, the actor, hasn’t had a successful movie in a while. He was really hoping for his new action movie, Bhimaa, to be a hit. The film is directed by A. Harsha from Karnataka and stars Malvika Sharma and Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female leads. The movie got people excited with its preview, and it was released on the special day of Maha Shivarathri. Now, let’s find out how good it is.

Story :

Bhimaa, played by Gopichand, is a fun-loving cop with his own cool way of dealing with bad guys. He becomes a big problem for Bhavani, played by Mukesh Tiwari, who has a strong hold over Mahendragiri. Bhimaa falls in love with Vidya, a school teacher played by Malvika Sharma. Vidya really looks up to Ravindra Varma, played by Nassar, who uses special leaves to help people with health issues.

Ravindra Varma asks Bhimaa for a favor, and that request completely changes Bhimaa’s life. Now, what did Ravindra Varma ask him? How did Bhavani try to avoid getting in trouble with Bhimaa? Well, you’ll have to watch the movie to find out all the answers and see what happens next.

Positive Elements :

Recently, Gopichand took on one of his most powerful roles in Bhimaa. The director gave Bhimaa’s character some special qualities to make the movie unique, and Gopichand did an outstanding job playing the fun-loving cop. He looked more lively and energetic than he has in a while, and his tough and strong appearance will surely impress the audience.

The film starts with an interesting narration explaining the history of Parasuramuni Kshetram, capturing our attention for about 15 minutes. The part just before the break raises the excitement, making us eager to see what happens next. Malvika Sharma’s character becomes more important towards the end, and she does a good job. Naresh, Mukesh Tiwari, Raghu Babu, and Chammak Chandra also play their roles well.

The movie really shines in the last 30 minutes. The emotions, strong dialogues, surprising twists, and heroic moments are presented excellently, making the intense finale very captivating. The comedy scenes with Vennela Kishore and Rohini are enjoyable. The action scenes are well-planned, and the powerful background music by Ravi Basrur adds a lot to the intense and thrilling scenes.

Negative Elements :

After a promising start, the movie loses its hold as it goes on. Things take a turn for the worse when the love story comes into play. While it’s clear the movie is targeting a larger audience, the way the love scenes are presented is crass and might make some people uncomfortable.

The first part of the movie focuses entirely on introducing Bhimaa’s character, but the issue is that too much time is spent on the love story. The main plot of the film could have been presented more effectively. It only comes into play halfway through, and the other crucial character, who is vital for the second half, deserved more attention.

The dialogues, romantic scenes, and violent visuals may limit the movie’s appeal to a broader audience. The frequent back-and-forth in the storytelling can be confusing, making it hard to follow the timeline. Priya Bhavani Shankar does a good job, but her character lacks depth.

Technical Aspects :

Nowadays, movies are known for their amazing visuals, and Bhimaa is no exception. The cinematography by Swami J. Gowda is excellent, especially in the night scenes. The production quality is really high. While the songs are okay, Ravi Basrur’s background music is great. Action scenes are crucial for movies like this, and Bhimaa nails it in that department.

Director A. Harsha added a fantasy element to this action-packed drama. The intense scenes and the climax are well done. He showcased Gopichand’s character strongly, but the way the love story is written and shown is a letdown. It’s the biggest drawback of the film, affecting its impact to some extent. As mentioned earlier, the back-and-forth storytelling can be confusing at times.

Conclusion :

In a nutshell, Bhimaa is a movie packed with action and drama, and it has some good parts in both halves. Gopichand is full of energy in the film, giving a strong performance. The start, break, and the final half-hour are done well, but the other parts could have been handled better. The uninteresting love story is a big downside to the movie. The main idea should have been emphasized more, and the movie doesn’t reach its full potential. It’s likely to be enjoyed more by action movie fans than others.
