The film “Hanu-Man” by Prasanth Varma and Teja Sajja has garnered significant attention in recent months. The movie was promoted extensively, and the team’s confidence was evident through aggressive marketing and special premieres. Did “Hanu-Man” meet the high expectations that surrounded it? Let’s delve into

STORY

hanumanthu (Teja Sajja) , a small-time thief from Anjanadhri, discovers a precious stone granting him superpowers. Living with his caring sister and in love with Meenakshi (Amritha Aiyer), his life takes a turn when Gajapathi, a deceptive figure, controls their village. Meenakshi’s rebellion against Gajapathi leads to a violent confrontation, where Hanumanthu uses his newfound abilities to intervene. As he grapples with the responsibilities of his powers, the mysterious Micheal enters the scene, adding complexity to the unfolding story. The narrative explores themes of courage, justice, and familial bonds, culminating in a climax that unravels the mysteries behind the precious stone and Micheal’s connection.

Highlights:

HanuMan is great because it gives you exciting moments and funny parts. The director, Prasanth Varma, made some amazing scenes that make you feel excited, especially those showing Lord Hanuman. The music by Gowra Hari in these scenes is really good too. The ending of the movie is long but awesome, with cool visual effects. The second half has more emotions and drama, even though it slows down sometimes. When the main character, Teja Sajja, gets superpowers, the movie becomes even more fun. They also talk about famous heroes, and the funny scenes after that are really interesting. The action scenes before the break are fantastic, mixing fun and power, making you excited for what happens next.

Drawbacks :

The movie has some problems, especially with its story. It’s a bit like other movies where a bad person wants superpowers to control the world. This idea is not very new. The first part of the film is not very exciting, and the special effects could be better. There’s a part at night that’s hard to understand. The bad guy’s character is not very different, and the writing could be better. But the director, Prasanth Varma, tries to make the audience happy with some good moments. So, even with the issues, the movie still has some fun parts.

Technical Elements:

Gowra Hari’s outstanding background score, especially in the climax, enhances the film’s quality. The folk song and other tracks are good. Shivendra’s cinematography is neat, but the editing could be improved, with some sequences feeling too long. Director Prasanth Varma impresses with his vision in “Hanu-Man,” injecting high moments and keeping the audience engaged despite a familiar concept. The last twenty minutes, particularly scenes involving Lord Hanuman, stand out for their impact and masterful presentation. Varma successfully navigates the beaten-to-death theme, making it a compelling and engaging cinematic experience.

Conclusion:
“Hanu-Man delivers an engaging superhero experience filled with thrilling moments. The film’s strength lies in its last half-hour, numerous high points, and humor. Despite a familiar plot, Prasanth Varma successfully captivates the audience, aided by terrific dialogues and background score that elevate Lord Hanuman. Teja Sajja, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer, and the rest deliver commendable performances. While a few scenes slow down the pace, the initial half-hour could have been more gripping. Nevertheless, Hanu-Man proves to be a worthy watch this Sankranthi season, offering a good dose of entertainment.”
