Aishwarya Rajinikanth, a director in the Kollywood film industry, has released a new movie called “Lal Salaam.” The film stars her father, Superstar Rajinikanth, in a special role, along with Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant as the main actors. Today, the movie is hitting the cinemas. Let’s take a look at our review to find out what we think about it.

Story:

The movie’s story happens in a village called Kasumuru. Two friends, Guru (played by Vishnu Vishal) and Samshuddin (played by Vikrant), used to be very close until something really sad happened, and it made them become enemies. There’s a businessman named Moideen Bhai (played by Rajinikanth) from Mumbai, and he has connections with Guru and his village.

Everything goes smoothly in the story until the people in Kasumuru village are insulted by another village. What happens next, how the problem becomes more serious, Moideen Bhai’s role in all of this, and whether the two friends manage to become friends again are all parts of the story that you’ll see on the big screen.

Positive Aspects:

Vishnu Vishal acts very well, just like what the character needs. The way they show the village atmosphere and the old-fashioned style in the movie is done really well.

Vikrant’s acting is good enough, and Rajinikanth does a great job with his actions and the things he says in the role of Vikrant’s father.

Jeevita Rajasekhar looks great in the movie with her natural look, and the other actors who support them also do a good job.

Negative Aspects :

The main problems with Lal Salaam are the story and how it unfolds slowly. Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who directed the movie, tries to share a message, but it’s not new; we’ve seen similar ideas in old movies. Aishwarya, who also wrote the screenplay, could have worked with co-writer Vishnu Rangasamy to add more feelings to make the movie more impactful.

The parts where the characters are supposed to feel strong emotions don’t really hit you, and the background music that usually makes these scenes better is not powerful enough.

The actors you might not know, along with some strange choices in dubbing and performances that don’t stand out, make it hard for the audience to connect with the movie.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth, as the director, could have made certain scenes better, and the addition of some characters like Ananthika, Kapil Dev, and Nirosha doesn’t add much to the story.

Technical Elements :

Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who wrote the story and directed the movie, didn’t quite make it an exciting experience. The story is not very strong, and especially in the second part of the movie, it moves slowly, making it a bit boring for the audience.

Even though Pravin Baaskar edited the movie well, and Vishnu Rangasamy did a good job with the camera, the music by AR Rahman doesn’t really stand out, which is surprising considering his usual reputation. Also, the movie is quite long, which makes it harder for people to stay interested.

Conclusion :

In simple terms, Lal Salaam doesn’t provide an exciting or enjoyable time to watch. The main good thing is the okay performances by the main actors. However, the movie has a lot of problems, like not-so-good writing, slow pace, and not impressive music, which are more than its strengths. Because of these issues, it’s better for people to look for other things to watch this weekend, even though Rajinikanth is in it, as his presence doesn’t make the movie better.
