Today, Disney Plus Hotstar launched the second season of the widely acclaimed Telugu web series, Save The Tigers, titled Save The Tigers 2. Dive into our review to uncover whether this new installment lives up to its predecessors’ hype.
Story :
The new season of Save The Tigers picks up where it left off, with the police suspecting Ghanta Ravi, Rahul, and Vikram of kidnapping actress Hamsalekha. But things get interesting when Hamsalekha herself clears their names and befriends them. Meanwhile, Vikram and Harika are busy with a project, Rahul is writing a story for Hamsalekha, and Ghanta Ravi has political ambitions. How did their plans turn out? And what about their spouses? The season explores these twists and turns in the main storyline.
Positive Aspects :
Hats off to the creators, Mahi V Raghav and Pradeep Advaitham, for pulling off a great follow-up to the much-loved series. They added more feelings to the fun and handled the sequel really well.
Priyadarshi steals the spotlight once again with his amazing acting, blending comedy and touching moments perfectly. Abhinav Gomatam also stands out, bringing in funny lines and timing. Chaitanya Krishna does a great job too. The female leads, Jordar Sujata, Pavani Gangireddy, and Deviyani Sharma, play their parts effectively.
The first three episodes are full of laughs, while the last one, though emotional, keeps you entertained. The funny moments between Abhinav Gomatam and Priyadarshi are just great, and Seerat Kapoor’s role adds depth to the story. Even with less screen time, Mukku Avinash keeps you entertained, and Rohini adds to the humor, making the series a fun watch. The supporting cast also does a good job.
Negative Aspects :
While the series overall leaves a good impression, there are times when it feels less fun, especially in the fourth episode after the first three hilarious ones. Adding more jokes in these duller episodes would have made them better to watch.
Seerat Kapoor’s character, although acted well, could have had more to do to make the story richer. Similarly, Rohini’s character seems like it’s not used as much as it was in the first season. Scenes about Vikram’s mother-in-law and talks about pets don’t really grab your attention, and Darshana Banik’s character could have been given more depth.
Technical Elements :
Director Arun Kothapally, with help from Mahi V Raghav and Pradeep Advaitham, made the series fun to watch for families. The show looks good overall, especially the music, camera work, and editing. But some episodes in the middle, like the 10000 BC one, could have been edited better to keep the story moving smoothly.
Conclusion :
Overall, Save The Tigers 2 gives you a good comedy to watch, with great acting from the main actors, especially Priyadarshi and Abhinav Gomatam. But sometimes, it’s not as fun, and some episodes feel slow. Characters like Rohini don’t have as many funny moments. Still, it’s a decent choice for family time on the weekend, even if it’s not as fun as the first one.
