Today marks the theatrical debut of Harsha Chemudu, widely recognized as Viva Harsha, in the lead role with the release of the movie Sundaram Master.

Story :

In the quiet village of Miryalametta, a new face enters as Sundar Rao (played by Harsha Chemudu), taking on the role of an English teacher. Little do the villagers know, he carries with him a mysterious purpose that goes beyond the realms of English education. How will the villagers, more accustomed to their native tongue, receive this English-speaking stranger? Can Sundar Rao triumph in his undisclosed mission? To unravel the answers to these questions and witness the unfolding tale, one must delve into the movie and experience the journey firsthand.

Positive Aspects :

Harsha Chemudu truly stands out in his first-ever lead role, offering a performance brimming with clever exchanges and emotive acting that echoes his past projects.

The delightful exchanges between Harsha and the villagers are skillfully portrayed, highlighting the endearing qualities of their characters, especially in the latter part of the film.

Balakrishna Neelakantapu and the entire cast deliver praiseworthy performances, effectively drawing the audience into the storyline.

Negative Aspects :

The story’s simplicity makes sense, but it would have been better if the director kept things faster and more exciting, especially in the second half, to keep the audience interested.

The first part of the movie is funny and enjoyable, but the second part slows down a lot and doesn’t keep up the humor. Unfortunately, the emotional scenes in the later part don’t work well.

Moreover, the characters played by Divya Sripada and Harsha Vardhan don’t add much to the overall story. Also, some scenes, like the climax where Harsha Chemudu convinces Harsha Vardhan, feel awkward and could have been done better.

Technical Elements :

The person who wrote and directed the movie, Kalyan Santhosh, really tried to make the audience happy, but a better story and script could have made the movie even better.

The music by Sricharan Pakala and how the movie looks, done by Deepak Yeragera, are good. The editing by Karthik Vunnava is smooth. The people who made the sets for the movie did a great job, and the overall quality of the production is good.

Conclusion :

In general, Sundaram Master is an alright comedy-drama. It’s made better by Harsha Chemudu’s good acting and funny scenes. But, the story is not very strong, the movie goes slow, and the second part doesn’t have strong emotions. It might be a good idea to look for other things to watch this weekend.
