Mega hero Panja Vaisshnav Tej’s much-anticipated film, “Aadikeshava,” has finally hit theaters worldwide. Our review delves into the film’s strengths and weaknesses.
Story: Balu (Vaisshnav Tej) leads a cheerful life working at a cosmetic company owned by Chitra (Sreeleela). However, a sudden twist in Balu’s life reveals a mysterious connection to Chenga Reddy (Joju George) and the village of Brahmasamudram. The film unfolds the answers to these mysteries.
Plus Points: In his inaugural foray into commercial action drama, Vaisshnav Tej shows marked improvement in acting, dancing, and fighting skills.
Sreeleela adds glamour to the film, enhancing its overall appeal. Her on-screen chemistry with Vaisshnav Tej, coupled with her exceptional dancing, is commendable.
The first half delivers laughter-inducing comedy scenes, featuring Vaisshnav and Nellore Sudhakar, with other cast members giving satisfactory performances.
Minus Points: The storyline lacks originality, becoming predictably mundane. While the first half maintains a smooth flow with enjoyable comedy, the second half falters with an imperfect protagonist and over-the-top scenes.
Though entertaining, the fight scenes sometimes delve into unrealistic moments, reminiscent of a notable director’s style.
Aadikeshava introduces numerous characters without proper development, leaving actors like Suman, Sada, Aparna Das, and others with lightweight roles.
Sreeleela’s role, confined to dance sequences and a few love scenes, feels limited, while Joju George’s character lacks the expected fierceness.
Technical Aspects: Debutant writer and director Srikanth N. Reddy excels in crafting clean comedy but falls short in delivering a compelling narrative.
Music director GV Prakash Kumar’s score is average. Cinematographer Dudley enhances the film’s visual richness, while editing and production values meet expectations.
Verdict: “Aadikeshava” offers a standard action drama, showcasing Vaisshnav Tej in a different light. While the first half boasts positive elements, the outdated storyline, over-the-top action in the second half, and unnecessary scenes weigh it down. Exploring alternative entertainment options might be a wise choice this weekend.
