The Kerala government just launched CSpace, India’s first-ever government-backed movie-watching app. They want to give us a mix of interesting and informative shows that everyone can enjoy. The Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, officially started it all at the Kairali Theater in Kerala. CSpace is run by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation Ltd (KSFDC), which is all about promoting Malayalam cinema. It falls under the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala.
Now, CSpace has 42 films in its library, including 35 full-length movies, 6 documentaries, and 1 short film. Before these films hit the app, a team of three experts carefully picks them. Here’s the cool part: you pay Rs. 75 to watch a movie, and half of that money goes to the people who made the movie. You can get CSpace on your Android or iOS device.
