Jharkhand has announced a half-day closure of government offices and a full-day holiday for schools on Monday due to the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. The decision, directed by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, aligns with the celebration of the Ram temple consecration. The Jharkhand BJP had earlier requested January 22 to be declared a state holiday for this occasion.
The security measures have been heightened across the state, with additional forces, motorbike squads, and drone surveillance in place. Ranchi Police has deployed 1,500 extra personnel to maintain law and order, especially in areas with high devotee footfall. Temples are adorned with flowers, lights, and flags, reflecting the festive spirit.
Private schools have also joined the holiday declaration, ensuring a peaceful and celebratory atmosphere in Jharkhand on this significant day.
