Telangana’s BRS working president, KTR, continues to criticize the Congress government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership. With KCR, the party president, recovering from hip surgery, KTR has taken charge, questioning the government’s progress on election promises. A key focus is on the Congress pledge, ‘Gruha Jyothi,’ ensuring free electricity for households using up to 200 units.
At a recent public gathering, KTR urged people not to pay January electricity bills and send them directly to INC president Sonia Gandhi, highlighting the unfulfilled promises within the promised 100 days. He labeled Reddy ‘Chota Modi’ and accused him of controversial dealings with Adani. In response, Reddy’s government is developing an electricity policy, aiming to implement the Gruha Jyothi scheme despite its hefty annual cost of 4200 Crores.
