Mumbai Police are on high alert following a bomb threat received from an unidentified person claiming explosives have been strategically placed at six locations across the city. The alert was raised after the police control room received the message. The authorities swiftly launched search operations to ensure public safety.
This incident comes on the heels of a similar scare in Delhi on January 24, where Indira Gandhi International Airport was put on high alert due to a bomb threat for a flight from Darbhanga to Delhi. Fortunately, it was later revealed to be a false alarm.
Earlier in the same month, Mumbai experienced a series of bomb threats via email, targeting at least eight institutions and even making a specific threat against Byculla Zoo. Authorities are taking these threats seriously, given the recent spate of security concerns.
