Jr. NTR and Kalyan Ram Lead Heartfelt Tribute on NTR’s Death Anniversary, Joined by Fans in a Moving Commemoration.
On the 27th anniversary of the death of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jr. NTR and Kalyan Ram paid their respects early in the morning at the NTR Ghat in Hyderabad.
NTR, also known as ‘Anna,’ was a huge name in South Indian cinema. He had an amazing career that lasted for three decades, starring in over 300 films. Besides being a renowned actor, he was a powerful politician who founded the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1982. NTR also had a significant impact on the Telugu cinema industry, dominating it for many years. During his three years as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, his party emerged as the main rival to the Congress in the state.
NTR passed away on January 18, 1996, due to a heart attack. On the 27th anniversary of his demise, his grandchildren Jr. NTR and Kalyan Ram, along with hundreds of others, paid their respects to the legendary actor.
Last year, Jr. NTR shared a picture of his grandfather on January 18. On this day, fans fondly remembered NTR for his iconic roles and honored the National Award-winning actor.
In 1968, NT Rama Rao received the Padma Shri in recognition of his contribution to Indian cinema. He is remembered as a beloved leader who introduced the school lunch program.
