The Telangana Congress has officially ended the 48-hour wait for the announcement of the next chief minister. The Congress party has declared Kodangal MLA and TPCC chief, Revanth Reddy, as the new chief minister of Telangana.
The announcement was made by Congress veteran KC Venu Gopal, stating that Revanth has been appointed as the CLP (Congress Legislative Party) leader and will soon assume the role of the chief minister. This decision follows Revanth’s recent visit to Delhi to meet with key figures in the Congress party.
Although there were brief considerations of other names, such as Bhatti Vikramarka, the Congress party has put an end to the suspense by confirming Revanth Reddy as the CLP leader and the incoming chief minister.
Revanth Reddy’s supporters are celebrating the news, considering him a firebrand leader who has now fulfilled his longstanding dream of becoming the chief minister of Telangana. He led an intense campaign, contributing to the straightforward decision to appoint him as the chief minister.
Revanth Reddy is scheduled to assume office as the chief minister of Telangana on December 7th. This historic appointment marks the second chief minister in the state’s history, following KCR, bringing a new era to Telangana politics.
