Telangana’s political clash intensifies as CM and KTR use whitepapers as weapons, exposing financial debates and governance disputes
The new Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, is strongly criticizing the previous government led by BRS. The Congress government has started publishing reports (whitepapers) about Telangana’s financial situation during BRS’s rule. These reports suggest that Telangana faced a lot of financial problems during BRS’s time, mainly due to accumulating debts. This has sparked a heated debate between BRS and Congress in the Telangana assembly.
In response to Congress’s reports, BRS has also started releasing its own set of reports. KTR, a key figure in BRS, presented these reports at Telangana Bhavan. His main focus was to highlight the investments made by BRS during its nine-and-a-half-year tenure. KTR accused Revanth Reddy and Congress of using deceptive tactics to portray BRS in a negative light through their reports.
Revanth and Congress argue that BRS’s governance led to a financial crisis in Telangana, while BRS and KTR claim that Congress is using unfair methods and exaggerating numbers to tarnish the image of KCR, the leader of BRS.
It’s important to note that these reports, or whitepapers, have become the primary tools for both Revanth and KTR to support their arguments. This new strategy using reports has brought a different dynamic to politics in Telangana.
