The upcoming film “Gaami,” starring Vishwak Sen, is set to hit theaters on March 8th. With the trailer generating positive buzz after its grand launch in Hyderabad, the lead actor recently shared some surprising facts about the movie’s production. In an interview, Vishwak Sen revealed that “Gaami” took a full five years to complete due to budgetary constraints.
Sen explained that director Vidyadhar approached him with the script after seeing his earlier work. Believing in the director’s vision, Sen signed on despite knowing the film’s ambitious scale would lead to a lengthy production. He acknowledged that a faster shooting schedule would have required a much larger budget, upwards of 100 crores.
To manage the financial limitations, the team employed guerrilla shooting techniques in locations like Varanasi and the Kumbh Mela. Sen emphasized that time, rather than money, became their biggest investment. He expressed confidence that “Gaami” will feel fresh upon release, as its unique concept hasn’t been explored in mainstream cinema before.
