Riteish Deshmukh‘s directorial debut, “Ved,” achieved remarkable success at the Zee Talkies – Maharashtracha Favorite Kon awards, bagging nine prestigious trophies. The romantic drama, produced by Genelia D’Souza, also stars the duo alongside Jiya Shankar, making her Marathi film debut, with Ashok Saraf in supporting roles. A remake of the 2019 Telugu film “Majili,” Ved received accolades for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Male and Female), Best Male and Female Singer, Popular Face of the Year, and Style Icon of the Year at the ZEE Talkies awards.
Celebrating the achievement, Riteish Deshmukh took to social media, sharing a photo with wife Genelia and the trophies. Expressing gratitude, he wrote, “What an incredible night! Thanks to everyone who voted for us. @zeetalkies & @bavesh123 thank you – for this will be remembered for a lifetime.”
