Guntur Kaaram: India’s ₹50 Cr Debut

Mahesh Babu’s much-anticipated Telugu film, Guntur Kaaram, hit the screens on Friday, generating significant excitement for its opening day at the box office. According to Sacnilk.com, the film is poised to make an impressive debut with an estimated ₹50 crore nett collection in India on its first day. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the movie also stars Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary.

Guntur Kaaram enjoyed a robust start with an overall 74.67% Telugu occupancy on Friday, with cities like Vijayawada and Guntur achieving an exceptional 99% occupancy. The film’s advance bookings are reported to have contributed significantly to its successful opening.

Set against the backdrop of Guntur, the film revolves around a don and his love story. Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas, known for their previous hits Athadu and Khaleja, have teamed up again for this project. The star-studded cast includes Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Jayaram, Prakashraj, and Sunil.

Produced by S Radha Krishna under Haarika and Hassine Creations, Guntur Kaaram faces competition from other releases like Teja Sajja’s HanuMan, Venkatesh’s Saindhav, and Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga during the Pongal and Sankranthi weekend. The film’s strong performance on the opening day sets the stage for a potentially successful run at the box office.
