Naga Chaitanya’s new movie, “Thandel,” is turning out to be a big deal, breaking records as his priciest venture so far. The producers are going all in, investing more than what Naga Chaitanya usually pulls in, banking on the movie’s wide appeal that they think will draw audiences from all over India.
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the same person behind “Karthikeya 2,” and backed by Bunny Vaas and Allu Aravind, the film is currently in the making at a specially made set in the BHEL area. The standout feature? A super detailed recreation of Pakistan! In the story, Naga Chaitanya plays a fisherman from Andhra Pradesh who accidentally ends up in a Pakistani jail after crossing their waters.
And here’s the scoop – Sai Pallavi is the leading lady, making it the second time she’s starring opposite Naga Chaitanya. The shooting for the important Pakistan scenes is happening at a huge set near BHEL, Hyderabad. “Thandel” is shaping up to be a blockbuster, mixing a great story with some seriously impressive set design.
