Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated film, Lal Salaam, directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, hit screens worldwide today in multiple languages. The action drama, centered around cricket, stars young talents Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. Despite Rajini’s previous Telugu hit, Jailer, Lal Salaam didn’t generate much excitement among Telugu fans.
To everyone’s surprise, the first-day shows got canceled in several Telugu centers due to low turnout, leaving fans disappointed. Online ticket platforms swiftly refunded those who had booked in advance, but the future shows of the film are hanging in uncertainty.
In Lal Salaam, Rajini takes on the role of Moideen Bhai, a Mumbai underworld don in an extended cameo. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film is a grand venture with a soundtrack by the legendary AR Rahman.
