Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated film, Ramayana, has generated significant excitement among audiences. Reports indicate that Ranbir Kapoor is set to portray Lord Ram, with Sai Pallavi and Yash taking on the roles of Sita and Ravana, respectively. Adding to the intrigue, recent sources suggest that Vijay Sethupathi is in talks for the role of Vibhishan, Ravana’s brother.
According to an insider from PinkVilla, Tiwari met with Vijay Sethupathi to discuss the script and the envisioned world for Ramayana. The actor was reportedly impressed with the narration and visuals, expressing keen interest in the project.
The film’s roadmap reveals that Yash, playing Ravana, will commence shooting in June/July 2024 and complete his part within 15 days. The production team, in collaboration with DNEG, plans to spend 500 days perfecting the visuals for a global cinematic experience. Ranbir Kapoor is set to begin filming in March, with a reported release date in mid-2025. Notably, Bobby Deol is not confirmed for the role of Kumbhakarna, contrary to some speculations.
