Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is set to reprise his role as IRS Officer Amay Patnaik in the much-anticipated sequel, “Raid 2,” slated for release on November 15, 2024. The announcement came as the film went into production under the direction of Raj Kumar Gupta, who helmed the first installment. Produced by T-Series and Panorama Studios, the sequel promises double the drama and suspense, exploring another compelling true case from the files of the Income Tax Department.
The shooting for “Raid 2” commenced in Mumbai, with plans for extensive filming in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The narrative will spotlight the unsung heroes of the Income Tax Department, celebrating their contributions. The original film, “Raid,” released in 2018, depicted a real-life raid conducted by tax officers in the 1980s and featured Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz alongside Devgn. The sequel aims to amplify the intensity while shedding light on a gripping untold story.
