Bollywood King Khan Shah Rukh Khan opened up about his experience hosting ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) in 2007 during a discussion at the World Government Summit in Dubai. Khan, known for his genuine interest in the contestants, revealed the challenges he faced. Despite his strong desire to assist participants, he recounted moments when producers instructed him not to provide too many hints, creating a dilemma.
The actor candidly shared the pressure of difficult questions and the producers’ constant reminders in his ears. Khan expressed empathy for contestants facing tough queries, often finding himself wishing he had more information to offer. His loyalty to KBC’s producers became evident when he disclosed that he turned down the opportunity to star in the 2008 Oscar-winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ deeming it “dishonest” and “disrespectful.”
While Khan once expressed a desire to continue hosting KBC until the age of 60, he now acknowledges the irreplaceability of Amitabh Bachchan in the role of the Quizzmaster. The iconic quiz show, which debuted in 2000, successfully concluded its 15th season in December 2023, marking a significant milestone in its television journey.
