In 2024, South Indian movie enthusiasts can look forward to exciting sequels of blockbuster films. Allu Arjun‘s ‘Pushpa,’ Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2,’ and Mammootty’s ‘Yatra’ were big hits in the past.
‘Pushpa’ amazed audiences in 2021 with its intense story and great cast. The sequel, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule,’ is set to release on August 15, 2024.
‘Yatra,’ based on YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s life, was a 2019 success. Its sequel, ‘Yatra 2,’ starring Jiiva as YS Jaganmohan Reddy, hits theaters on February 8, 2024.
‘Indian 2,’ a much-anticipated film starring Kamal Haasan, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, and Kajal Aggarwal, will be released in two parts in April.
Another exciting sequel is ‘Tillu Square,’ a romantic crime comedy directed by Mallik Ram. It’s a follow-up to the 2022 film ‘DJ Tillu’ and features Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Anupama Parameswaran, and Muralidhar Goud. Originally set for release this year, it’s now scheduled for February 9, 2024, due to undisclosed reasons.
