In an unfortunate incident that unfolded in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, a woman underwent a traumatic experience during her passport verification at a local police station. The unsettling event occurred around 2:50 pm, as the woman sought to complete the necessary procedures.
Tragically, a mishap transpired when a Sub-Inspector, engaged in the routine cleaning of his pistol, unintentionally discharged a shot that struck the woman in the back of her head. The entire episode was captured by the CCTV camera, revealing the shocking turn of events.
Swiftly responding to the emergency, the injured woman was promptly transported to JN Medical College, where she currently remains in critical condition. Senior Superintendent of Police, Kalanidhi Naithani, confirmed that the bullet had impacted the backside of the woman’s head, exacerbating the severity of the situation.
In the wake of this distressing incident, immediate action was taken, leading to the suspension of the Sub-Inspector responsible for the accidental shooting. Furthermore, a criminal case has been initiated against the SI, who is currently on the run, heightening the urgency of addressing this grave matter.
