Varma’s ‘Hanuman’ Sequel: Ranveer as Villain?

Director Prasanth Varma, acclaimed for his success with ‘Hanuman’, is now preparing for his next big project alongside Bollywood’s Ranveer Singh. The upcoming film, tentatively titled ‘Rakshasa’, is being produced by Naveen Erneni and Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.

This project marks Varma’s expansion into a broader cinematic universe, drawing inspiration from Indian mythology. Ranveer Singh’s involvement, including a quiet puja ceremony on Hanuman Jayanti, has ignited anticipation among fans.

While plans for a sequel, ‘Jai Hanuman’, are in motion, ‘Rakshasa’ is expected to hit screens first, adding to the excitement. Additionally, audiences are eagerly awaiting Varma’s other project starring Anupama Parameswaran, which is nearing completion.
