The beloved actor Venkatesh has joined hands with Sailesh Kolanu, known for the movie HIT, for an exciting action drama called Saindhav. This marks Venkatesh’s 75th film, and the movie features a talented cast. The versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is making his debut in Tollywood. Let’s see how the movie turns out!

STORY :

The movie is set in a made-up city called Chandraprastha. It follows the story of Saindhav Koneru, also known as SaiKo (played by Venkatesh), who works with cranes in the customs department. Saindhav has a daughter named Gayathri (played by Baby Sara Palekar), and a cab driver named Manogya (played by Shraddha Srinath) takes care of her.

One day, Gayathri faints at school, and when taken to the hospital, doctors reveal she has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). The treatment requires a costly injection worth 17 crores. The movie revolves around whether Saindhav manages to save his daughter and the connection between him and Mitra (played by Mukesh Rishi). Mitra leads a group involved in dealing with drugs and weapons, adding a layer of suspense to the story.

GOOD POINTS :

Victory Venkatesh is an actor who can play any role very well. In the movie Saindhav, he is the main attraction and carries the film effortlessly. His on-screen presence is amazing, especially in action scenes. The last 30 minutes of the movie are exciting with great action scenes featuring Venky. The song “Bujjikondave” looks good on screen. Nawazuddin Siddiqui adds some humor to the movie and makes the audience laugh in a few scenes.

In Saindhav, the filmmakers tried to raise awareness about a genetic disease called SMA and the work done by NGOs, which is a good thing. The fight scenes are well choreographed, and the cinematography by Manikandan is impressive. The action scene just before the interval is particularly outstanding.

NEGATIVE POINTS :

Saindhav had a good idea and potential, but the director couldn’t make the story interesting. The way the story is told is not exciting, especially in the first half-hour, which is slow. The characters are not well-written, and even great actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui don’t have a chance to shine because of the generic roles they play. The actors deserved better roles, and there are mistakes in the story.

In action movies, the music is essential to make the scenes more impactful. Unfortunately, the background score by Santosh Narayanan is not good and doesn’t add much to the film. It even brings down the impact of the well-designed action scenes. Sometimes, the music is almost non-existent in important moments.

TECHNICAL ELEMENTS :

The movie looks good with nice visuals of the fictional city, thanks to the cinematographer Manikandan. The art team did a great job too. However, if the background music had been better, the movie could have been much improved. The editing is okay.

The director, Sailesh Kolanu, doesn’t impress much. He did well with Venkatesh’s part but couldn’t handle the other actors as effectively. The concept is good, but the movie doesn’t give the exciting moments it needs and lacks a captivating story.

CONCLUSION :

Overall, Saindhav has a nice idea, but the storytelling is not very exciting and lacks depth for most of the movie. Venkatesh’s impressive acting and the final 30 minutes are the best parts of Saindhav. Even though there are talented actors in the cast, the director didn’t give them strong characters to play. The background music is another big problem, making the movie less impactful. Venky’s acting and a couple of emotional scenes make the film okay, so it’s better to not expect too much when watching it.
