After a 25-year hiatus, Bollywood icons Salman Khan and Karan Johar are poised for their first full-length collaboration in “The Bull.” Despite a lasting friendship, their prior association was limited to Salman’s cameo in Johar’s directorial debut, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” (1998). “The Bull,” directed by Vishnuvardhan and produced by Dharma Productions, unfolds a true story with Salman portraying a paramilitary officer in the backdrop of the 1988 terror attacks in Malé, Maldives.

Scheduled for an Eid 2025 release, Salman is set to commence filming in February 2024 after undergoing an intensive 60-day training regimen. The film, inspired by a heroic Indian Army mission, emphasizes authenticity by opting for elaborate set designs over heavy visual effects.

Karan and Salman have meticulously planned the project over eight months, finalizing shooting dates in their recent meeting. The news elates Salman’s fans, already celebrating the success of “Tiger 3,” his recent action hit still captivating theaters.
