Today, amidst enormous anticipation, The Family Star, featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur, graced the screens. Dive into our review to uncover its impact.

Story :

Meet Govardhan (played by Vijay Deverakonda), an architect who comes from a simple background. He’s all about taking care of his brothers and their families. But everything changes when Indu (played by Mrunal Thakur), a student, moves in as his tenant. Their encounter marks a major twist in Govardhan’s life. Just when things start to settle, Indu drops a bombshell that shakes Govardhan to the core. Who exactly is she, and how does she fit into his life? The movie unravels these mysteries bit by bit, making it a must-watch on the big screen.

Positive Aspects:

Vijay Deverakonda does a great job playing a regular guy, showing the thoughts and actions that many people in his situation might have. His acting during family scenes is really good.

Mrunal Thakur shines as Indu, showing how her character changes throughout the story. She’s great both before and after the interval. The chemistry between the two main actors adds a nice touch to the movie.

The songs are catchy and look awesome when you watch them on the big screen. Plus, there are some funny moments scattered throughout that make the movie even more fun to watch.

Negative Aspects :

In this type of movie, you’d expect some really touching moments, right? Well, unfortunately, Family Star doesn’t quite deliver on that front. Even though Dil Raju said it’s a big love story, it doesn’t really leave a mark.

There’s potential for some deep emotions, but the movie mostly misses the mark there. Parasuram Petla, the director, doesn’t focus enough on the story, so some scenes feel like they go on forever.

The songs pop up at weird times, and the background music doesn’t really add much to the movie. The second half isn’t as good as the first, and some scenes just don’t hit the mark.

The comedy isn’t all that funny either, and it feels like they didn’t use Vennela Kishore’s talents well. Plus, Jagapathi Babu doesn’t get enough screen time, and other characters don’t get enough attention either. Also, there are some plot holes in the story that you might notice.

Technical Elements :

The director, Parasuram Petla, didn’t quite hit the mark with his direction and screenplay. It felt like the story didn’t really hold together well and lacked that extra oomph. Gopi Sundar’s music is alright in the songs, but it didn’t really add much to the important parts of the movie.

The way the movie looks and feels is pretty decent, thanks to the cinematography and production values. However, the editing could’ve been better to make the story flow more smoothly.

Conclusion :

Overall, The Family Star is somewhat entertaining. Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur do a good job with their performances. But, the story moves slowly, lacks deep feelings, and the music in the background doesn’t quite hit the mark. The plot itself isn’t very strong either. If you can ignore these things, it might still be a decent choice for a weekend movie.
