Today marks the theatrical release of the crime comedy “Paarijatha Parvam,” featuring Sunil, Chaitanya Rao, Shraddha Das, and Harsha Chemudu. Dive into our review to discover its verdict on the big screen debut!

Story :

Chaitanya really wants to direct his first movie, and he believes his friend Harsha is perfect for the lead role. But when producers keep turning them down, Chaitanya gets fed up, especially after one producer, Shetty, insults him. So, he comes up with a wild plan: to kidnap Shetty’s wife and ask for ransom to fund his film. Did he actually go through with it? And who are Bar Seenu and Parvathy, and how do they fit into all this? Well, you’ll have to watch the movie to find out!

Positive Aspects :

Harsha Chemudu, who’s great at making people laugh, brings loads of humor with perfect timing, especially in the second part of the movie. And Chaitanya Rao really stands out as a guy dreaming of becoming a director.

Comedian Sunil, playing Bar Seenu, is really good. His scenes with Chaitanya Rao and Harsha Chemudu are super funny and make you laugh a lot. Srikanth Iyengar also does a fantastic job in his role.

Negative Aspects :

In a crime comedy, it’s important to keep the audience hooked with a thrilling and entertaining plot. Unfortunately, “Paarijatha Parvam” doesn’t quite nail that.

The director and writer, Kambhampati Santosh, could have put more effort into crafting an engaging story. A well-written screenplay with exciting twists could have made a big difference.

While the funny scenes with Sunil and Harsha are fun, some of them feel a bit forced. Plus, there are too many unnecessary scenes that don’t add much to the story. With better dialogue, the movie could have had a stronger impact.

Many characters in the movie don’t get enough development. The main female character, Malavika Satheesan, doesn’t have much screen time. And characters played by Samir, Surekha Vani, and Srikanth Iyengar could have been fleshed out more to add depth and humor.

Technical Elements :

Kambhampati Santosh didn’t quite hit the mark with this movie. If he had put more effort into developing the story and screenplay, things might have turned out differently.

The songs by Ree are alright, but the background music is a letdown. It sounds like those old Nokia ringtones, and it gets annoying after a while. It kind of takes away from the scenes instead of enhancing them. Bala Saraswathi did a decent job with the camera work, but Sasank Vupputuri could have edited the movie better for a smoother flow. As for the production, it’s decent enough.

Conclusion :

Overall, “Paarijatha Parvam” is a letdown in the crime comedy genre because of its weak story and screenplay. Although Harsha Chemudu, Sunil, and Srikanth Iyengar bring some laughs with their acting, the movie still falls short. There are too many scenes that don’t add much, the pacing feels off, and it’s hard to stay interested. You might want to check out something else for entertainment this weekend.
